Sports Definition: the ability to repeat a series of muscle contractions without fatiguing.

A Muscular Endurance Test for the Legs. Endurance is the ability of your muscles to either hold a contraction over time or perform repeated contractions. Being able to squat down and hold that position, as you would if lowering to button the coat of a child, is due to the muscular endurance. Maximal Aerobic Tests Continuous tests to exhaustion. Multistage Shuttle Run Test (see also the similar 15m Bleep, Aero Test, and PACER test. Also called the beep, bleep test etc. see variations); Yo-Yo Endurance Tests — a beep-type test with rest periods developed for intermittent sports.; Maximal Oxygen Consumption Test (VO 2max) — also VO2max tests for runners, cyclists and swimmers.

Muscle endurance is different from cardiovascular endurance because it involves the muscle fatiguing rather than a limitation in the amount of oxygen being supplied or utilized by the muscles.
